111 Seeds is a multi-disciplinary collaboration with Marcelo Garzo Montalvo of Bio-Ofrenda for YBCA’s 2019 Public Square event.
As 2018-19 YBCA Collective Safety Fellows answering the question: How might we pursue and sustain collective safety? Montalvo and I created a rejuvenating, interactive, political healing space combining live ambient sound, plant medicine and a virtual reality landscape based on sacred geometry to facilitate collective visioning and spatiotemporal distortion, visitors planted 111 native seeds during the event as both an offering and intention of the power of “one” and “the ones” to seed and nurture collective safety.
In 2019 I ported 111 Seeds as Bio-Ofrenda to the Oculus Rift S for PC VR, with new enhancements for Meta’s Oculus Launchpad VR developer accelerator program.
